What is it?

It’s trick-or-treating by water! Many boat docks around the lake have volunteered to participate to dress up and decorate their docks and hand out treats to eager little Spookers. We have all the docks identified on a map that Spookers can use on their smartphones to zoom in to the exact location.

How do you do it?

You basically decorate your boat, decorate yourself, decorate your kids, and some decorate their dogs (or cats), pile up in the boat – with life jackets on the kiddos – and hit the water to start trick or treating (we call it “spooking”) the host docks!

When is it?

This year, Spook the Lake! is on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Spooking is from 1pm to 4pm.

The AFTERSPOOK – a party for the Spookers & Docks – after the event at Trident Marina from 5pm to 8pm. We will have a bounce house, slide, and give out some awards. Trident Grille will have food and refreshments available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair and chill with us!

What part of the lake is this?

Spook the Lake! is a lakewide event. We typically have upwards of 100 boat docks handing out candy all over the lake. These folks are all VOLUNTEERS who supply the goodies at their own expense. In addition, most go the extra mile and decorate their docks to the max and really get into the spirit of the event!
